Day 227

Riversdale to Heidelberg and then onto Suurbraak. Met with Neels for a trip around his massive farm and further insight into the operations of a successful organic farm. Accommodation and food thanks to Skeiding Guest Farm.

15 August 2012

Day 228

Morning farm tour and educational with Neels of Skeiding Guest Farm. Drive from Suurbraak to Swellendam. Accommodation thanks to A Grace Walk and a great dinner at Mattsen’s.

16 August 2012

Day 229

Meeting with Swellendam Greater Tourism and a look around the museums and galleries of the town. Drive from Swellendam to Bredasdorp. Tour of Julians Ceramics – a real community success story. Accommodation thanks to Wheatlands Lodge and a great dinner at Julian’s.

17 August 2012

Day 230

Bredasdorp, Arniston and Struisbaai – a great tour of the area to get an idea of the Cape Agulhas region’s beauty. Accommodation thanks to Mermaid Guest House and a fantastic Irish Pub dinner courtesy of The Michael Collins.

Day 231

Struisbaai Safe House and the southernmost tip of Africa at Cape Agulhas. Accommodation thanks to the Agulhas Country Lodge.
