In 2012 we came up with 16 themes:
Our own themes pre-dated, albeit very similar to, what was to follow by the United Nations…
In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals (officially known as the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs). These goals have the power to create a better world by 2030, by ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.
OUR PLACE WITHIN THE UNITED NATION’S SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG)
A pivotal theme is around SDG 17 – Partnerships – from which all of our expeditions, research and collaborations have developed.
Central to our thoughts is also the ‘RETHINK‘ philosophy – this is about making consumer decisions based on a bigger picture to benefit you and everyone around you. If we change the way we buy, we will change the way we sell. By re-evaluating your consumerism, you can change the world for the better.
