Welcome to Sewula Gorge Lodge and our 4 star self catering accommodation just outside Estcourt. The whole concept of the lodge is that you get back to nature. Here you will find no TVs or wifi, the cell signal is sporadic and there are no urban noises.
Just nature
The lodge contains the guest kitchen, dining area, guest lounges and a deck over looking the gorge. The 4 adjacent cottages contain the guest rooms which are either en-suite or an adjoining shower. Each cottage has a loft where children can sleep comfortably and safely. The rooms are cleaned daily by our courteous staff. Groceries and provisions can be purchased in Estcourt which is just 10Km on the R103.
Sewalu Gorge is rich in nature and history. There are several walking routes including one to the Rensburg Koppie National Monument and battlefield walks. There is a fantastic mountain bike trail that you can follow as well a farm that has a lake that contains Florida Bass. Other wildlife includes Kudu, Blesbuck, Impala, Reedbuck, Mountain Reedbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck and Warthog.
