This intimate lodge just outside Montagu is well situated with panoramic views over the olive gardens, the mountains and Montagu in the distance. It is a destination aimed at rest and gastronomic delights, especially their excellent 5 course menu prepared by chef Eric Brillant and his wife Myriam (originally from the Congo and thereafter restauranteurs in Paris). Restaurant is open from October to April. The en-suite bedrooms are decorated quite simply in French style, but with outside shower. There is a nice swimming pool and various walking trails are laid out on the estate. Cycling is not allowed because of the (small) game and birdlife on the estate and the peace and quiet the owners encourage.
