These habitats range from Limpopo riverine forest and Limpopo floodplains to open grasslands and arid sandry thornveld.
The Limpopo River forms a natural link between the subtropical lowveld regions of Zimbabwe and Mozambique and the bushveld of the Northern Province, resulting in the existence of many interesting bird species.
The habitats also include more than a hundred different tree species, for example: Anna Tree, Knob Thorn, Weeping Boerbean, Zebra Wood, Apple Leaf, Nyala Tree, Wild Apricot, BuffaloThorn, Large Fruit Bush Willow, but to mention a few.
