The moment you enter through our large double doors you are greeted by an unexpected sight of an indoor waterfall and fishpond. As the guests book in, fish inquisitively pop up for greetings. Immediately you feel at home.
Even more so, treasures include the cozy lounge with a large fire place where you can sample our local wines, the verandah and the magical garden. The lounge leads onto an exquisite long verandah with a reed ceiling. Whilst sipping your first cup of coffee on the verandah, you have a view over the lush garden with a swimming pool and the Orange River valley where the fish eagles circle the skies.

Add to this a large dash of humour and you have a good summary of this most noteworthy man. Andrew Bain was the ‘pass man’ – he built Michell`s Pass, Houhoek Pass and Bain`s Kloof.
