Africa is known for wide open ecosystems such as the Serengeti and Botswana where mammals are free to move in response to ecological drivers. Carnivores, which are an essential part of ecosystems are experiencing a high amount of pressure from the increasing human population. This increase in human population has led to habitat fragmentation and an increase in human-predator conflict.
