Biomimicry Online Module 2 – Rediscovering Our Planet

ENTER THE WORLD OF NATURE’S EARTH-SAVVY GENIUS, DISCOVER LIFE’S BLUEPRINT FOR THRIVING ON EARTH AND EMBRACE A NEW WAY OF VIEWING, VALUING AND ENGAGING WITH THE WORLD AROUND US WITH OUR BIOMIMICRY ONLINE JOURNEY.

This mini-course is part of a collection of modules in the Biomimicry series.

Our Biomimicry Online Series takes a special approach to biomimicry (the conscious emulation of Nature’s genius) and consists of a number of Modules (mini-courses) that together explore and unpack the essence of biomimicry and how to embrace and practice it as a way of being, a way of life.

Sue Swain’s (BioWise) “Rediscovering Our Planet” is Module 2 of the Biomimicry Online Series. This module takes us on a journey of discovering afresh ourselves, our planetary home, the genius of the species with whom we share this home, and the art of learning from this genius to uncover the secrets to living wisely and well on earth. The practice of biomimicry as a way of life involves a new way of viewing, valuing and engaging with the natural world and it’s a course for everyone who recognises the need to live differently and would like to know how.

until I discovered biomimicry that I was truly awakened to Nature’s boundless genius, humbling wisdom

you”

When to take the course

This online course can be taken at your own pace and in your own environment.

How it works

Each module in this series consists of lessons each with summary quizzes to assess your understanding of the subject.

In order to progress through the course you will need to click on COMPLETE LESSON at the end of each page.

Some lessons will contain quizzes which will need to be taken to get an assessment of your results at the end and progress to future modules.

In addition to the summary quizzes, there are also more detailed questions after most lessons designed to deepen one’s understanding and engaging with the topic in order to develop the skills to apply biomimicry thinking and principles in everyday life. While these questions do not have to be completed before you can move on to the next lesson, they are an essential part of your journey of discovery that will greatly enrich what you get out of the course.

Some lessons will contain exercises which are also an essential part of developing the skills to become an effective biomimic.
You will be asked to write an essay at the end of the course describing your personal journey of discovery and awakening and keeping a journal is highly recommended for you to keep track of your personal experiences. The same journal should be used for the Exercises.
